These are pictures my friend, Kelly Mahan, aka "Bling" took of Zooey at the beautiful Alice Keck park. We had a picnic there last week with Claudia, Julie, Kelly, Zooey and me. We picked up sandwiches from Cantwell's, spread out a blanket, and had lunch while watching the ducks and turtles swim in the pond.

Alice Keck park is one of the most beautiful parks in Santa Barbara: colorful flowers, meandering paths, dogs and people everywhere. It is the perfect place to catch up with old friends. I had so much fun with the girls, and Zooey had so much fun playing and watching the dogs, ducks and turtles. A perfect day!

Zooey's 1st day in Cali for the summer...

We arrived on Wednesday, June 15th and immediately met the family at Duke's where they were celebrating cousin Lillee's graduation from Kindergarten. Zooey was a little overwhelmed from all the people and love she was getting and cried at first, but by the end of lunch she was giving kisses. She loves her papa, mimi, Auntie Lolo, Uncle Ya Ya, cousin Lillee and Jonah, but she is especially a nanaholic. She can't get enough of her Nana.

The first day of vacation was beautiful in Ojai, but we've had June Gloom each day since. Looking forward to some beautiful days at the beach and at Gigi's pool. Sunday we are celebrating Father's Day, Dad and Rusty's birthday at Gigi's with a big BBQ. We are very sad to not be spending Father's Day with Daddy this year...

We Skype with Daddy every day, and we look forward to his visit on June 24th-July 11th. We will be camping with the Bollag's, going to Summer Solstice in Santa Barbara, going to visit Gruncle Hal and Dutch, and visiting Catalina. Lots of fun plans for the summer, but for now, we are just getting used to a California schedule and routine.

We had fun this weekend at the library. They had a picture circus with trapeze artists, animal performers, illustrators, clowns, and more. The clown made Zooey a pink bunny balloon, which she loved. She painted for the first time; within seconds she had pink paint in her hair. As always, she got attention everywhere we went!

It's a ZoFrantastic World...we're just living in it!
